Eng 9 (3rd): No vocab this week, as you had a test on Monday. We’ll continue with active and passive voice tomorrow.
AP Lit (4th): MWDS is due at the beginning of class TOMORROW. Remember, you need to bring me the file so that I can print it as a 4 page booklet.

Brit (6th): No quiz tomorrow, but we will begin the analysis of the poem v. the film versions of Beowulf.

HWorld (2nd): No homework tonight, but remember that your A Long Way Gone responses are due next Wednesday. I’ll post the guidelines to the class page ASAP.

Eng 9 (3rd): If you did not finish your “Mouse” questions in class, you need to finish them over the weekend. Your first test will be this Tuesday. I’ll post a study guide on the blog this weekend, but you should review your notes over “The Cask of Amontillado”, “The Mouse”, and “The Necklace.”
AP Lit (4th): Your MWDS is due Sept. 3rd. It would be wise to get together with your group during lunch or break this week and discuss the MWDS.

Something to remember: It is widely debated whether the famous Excalibur is actually the sword which Arthur pulls out of the stone. Some stories present Arthur receiving the sword at a later date.

I have posted your literary terms guide on your class page. Remember, your quiz on Friday is over the following terms from the guide: setting, irony, foreshadowing, characterization, plot, exposition, conflict, falling action, climax, resolution, dynamic character, static character, cause and effect, dramatic irony, situational irony. Be sure that you know the meanings of the terms AND you can identify examples of the devices.
